Classes are small. Professors are dedicated to the success of their students. There is an abundance of available internships and extracurricular activities associated with Political Science. The workload is very intensive. I just changed my major to Political Science at the beginning of the Fall 2013 semester from Sociology. The newer residence halls are awesome. The older, not so much. Also, not being a religious person, the major presence of a catholic ideology and thought process coupled with an immaturity of students with very little life experience presents itself as almost as pretentious/snobby/pompous demeanor. The police on campus are only wanting to keep students and staff safe. They enforce the rules only to keep others safe.
Parking is available somewhere on campus. One must remember to go at least 10 minutes before class if you are a commuter student to ensure that you park and still have time to walk to class.
We have plenty of computers on campus that students can use!
the online accelerated nursing program. I would choose the same route for my second degree. I hope to become a labor and delivery nurse. My biggest concern is if there will be jobs available when I get finished with school, the advisors and other staff are very helpful with tips to ways to get a foot in the door at job placement.
They are strict, but they weed out the people who just want to party that way. MAP classes are convienant for the working adults, but are more difficult because of the lack of interaction for the teachers. There is a lot of criteria for getting into the nursing program, but well worth the hurdles.
It is a lonely experience. On line courses are all on you. There is no class to help you through.
The teachers are so helpful. They even give you their cellphone and email addresses so you are able to contact them anytime with any questions or concerns. They not only teach, but try to make you better students and help you to become a successful graduate in your career field.
