The financial aid office is decently easy to work with. There are plenty of scholarships available to you at Marian, but for a first time student, or even an upperclassman the forms can be very confusing.

I am a Sport Performance major. The program is often regarded as a "jock major" but it is what you make of it. However, it almost seems that there aren't a lot of major specific classes. We often times get lumped into a lot of the intro nursing courses.

The school is not repressive, but since it is a catholic university, there are a lot of rules you should expect regarding conduct on campus. There are not a ton of events on campus that would be at other schools for this user. Marian is also somewhat strict on underage drinking in the dorms.

There is a lot in the area, but not all of it is affordable/ healthy. There are plenty of fast food/pizza joints. Downtown Indy is very close so many people will go downtown to eat, but that can be an expensive bill at times.

There are plenty of neighborhoods in the area's surrounding Marian. Many of these houses are university owned, or alumni owned so it isn't very hard to find a deal. They may not be mansions, but they get the job done.

The majority of Marain Night life consists of House Parties. Marian doesn't have frat houses so usually students living off campus will hold them. The houses are usually pretty close and can be pretty fun if a good amount of people show. However, a lot of the time too many people go and it is cramped/ hot.

All freshman area allowed to have a car on campus, but there is usually a lot of competition for spots near the front. Marian also has a lot of commuters which take up a good amount of parking.

Two programs stick out. First the football team won it's first and the School's first NAIA National championship and its second consecutive conference championship. The cycling team has won 21+ national titles in all the disciplines. The other sports are decent and fun to watch. Athletic Administration has made some key changes to coaching and facilities, Things are looking up for MU sports.

Its downtown Indianapolis so transportation is great. but most students live on campus and engage in a lot of walking. Than we have a lot of commuters who drive to school on a daily basis.
