Challenging yet comfortable. Needs modernized dorms
Doyle helps me connect with other freshman
My personal experience at Marian University has been wonderful. Everyone is on your side pushing you to do your best. Even though it is a comfortable fit they still want you to be challenged.
The thing I like the most about Marian is that its a small school so everything is personalized to you. Another thing that is great about Marian is that they really are trying to get everyone graduation and into a career. They offer one on one tutoring.
The cafeteria food isn't very healthy and most of the students complain about it. The other options (subway, grille works, papa johns, starbucks) are nice, but students only get $300 Knight bucks a semester, so those dollars have to be rationed out throughout the semester.
The housing process itself is pretty difficult and confusing (at least for the housing for the 2015 - 2016 year), but the dorms aren't terrible. I think that the small campus size is extremely convenient; being able to roll out of bed 10 minutes before my first class and still be able to get there on time is great. However, since the campus is small, there aren't a ton of dining options and housing options available.
They are very involved in student life.
Not the best area, but worth it.
