It's cold in the winter and warm in the summer. There's nothing really note-worthy about the weather. You should expect snow in the winter, but it's not an insane amount. I've never lived where it snows more, but I'm sure some have and would find the amount of snow Indianapolis gets to be basically nothing. Others may find it to be a lot if they've grown up where it doesn't snow. The majority of students are from the area, so they are already used to the weather.
There are activities going on on campus, but they're not always entirely visible. I would say that overall it's an active campus, but things can seem pretty quiet sometimes, especially on weekends.
Secondary education was recently switched to a major as opposed to a minor, so everyone studying it is now a double major. It can get a bit difficult sometimes figuring out which courses to take, as the requirements change fairly often. Overall though, I enjoy the courses, and the professors are very knowledgeable and helpful.
The alcohol policy changed this last year, and students over 21 can now have alcohol in their dorms. There aren't many incidents involving alcohol that I've heard about, and I don't know of much drug use at all.
Athletics aren't a huge focus on campus, but they are a part of campus life. Students tend to get excited towards certain sports events, especially football.
Indianapolis is a good city for the most part. It doesn't have as much as some other cities, but you can usually find something to do.
There are restaurants near campus, but there aren't that many. Of course, you're in Indianapolis, so it's possible to find almost anything you'd want. You may have to drive a bit far off campus though.
I almost always feel safe on campus, even if I'm alone after dark. Paths are lit, and there are typically other people around. The police can be seen patrolling at times. There have been some robberies in both vehicles and dorms, but I tend to feel like my things are safe as long as I lock my room/car.
It doesn't have the best transportation. You'd be best off having your own car.
